“No se’, no me lo digas, no lo sabes”
It jumped right out at me
saying
“it’s where you’ve always been”;
open up the door --- I’ll get it
myself, for myself, with out you.
Break down that soluble border
between oil and water
that now will only bend,
recoil like a tear
falling backwards toward the surface
where we teeter in sound
and sunlight, wide as the eyes
that drop me so high above
an open courtyard, surrounded
by walls that house souls
who’d be willing
to give some definition
if you didn’t
stop them in my thoughts
through this cortile
we all ride above or below.
