From January to May 2000 I spent time writing songs with a friend. We wrote around 50 songs together and put rough sketches on tape. The idea was to try to write a ‘hit’ song, either pop or country and make enough off the royalties to pursue our respective arts.  For me poetry, for him music.  Nothing ever came of it as we didn’t move as aggressively as we should have.  I had planned to put audio clips up but my friend expressed some reservation even though he did give me permission. I understand his point of view, they were at best rough sketches and at worst just place markers to remember chords, phrasing and melody.  Beyond that if you are reading this and are interested in using any of these lyrics I am more than amicable to hearing my words put to music just contact me at citizenhogan@yahoo.com or through the comments section below.
